__________SMOOTH__________

Soft like a baby's bottom so long and being so hairy wasn't very fun. Always having to hide your legs, thinking someone was looking at them and think how gross they were. To put it plain and simple not shaving is a nightmare. For the past six months I have had to go with out shaving my legs, at all. This was not just for fun it was for swim team, so that I have drag in the water. But, just last Thursday I got to dehairify myself, yes. Friday and Saturday was Regions for swim, so we shave just before it, thus getting ride of the drag and cut of some time in our races. So why is it that shaving or in some of our cases wax is so nice, after it's all said and done? Mainly because we have grown up in a society that if you have hairy legs, and you are a woman than you are considered to have horrible hygiene. Hair is also considered masculine if anywhere but on the head, so you are not only considered disgusting but also "manly" which is unbecoming of a lady. The smooth feel is also pleasurable to touch and stroke, the hairlessness also makes us women feel thinner even though it's not that much being taken of. All together it's that it makes us feel and be more attractive, which is what everyone, even men, want.

*The Boss*

So this morning I had a staff meeting, oy. We have these once a month really early on a Saturday morning, fun huh. Well at these joyous staff meetings my boss is there, and she always has to have something to say. And these sayings are always that we're doing something wrong. There could be one complaint that the Rec isn't spotless, and the patron, who usually comes in right before close, over exaggerates that the place is a mess. Well one it's really late at night and there has been a whole days worth of people that have been there. Anyway so every staff meeting we have my boss has to complain about something. Why? Why does she have to pick through every patron comment to find something that we're doing wrong? We may not even be doing anything wrong and she'll find something to complain about. Then again she is the boss and I guess that's a good enough reason. I think it's just to make her feel as though we're progressing or accomplishing something. I don't get it but it's okay because we don't change and she doesn't say a thing at the next staff meeting.

~Writing~

This is hard, writing a blog each week. Why is it so hard? I have lots of thoughts and ideas, feelings and experiences. So why is it so hard to write these blogs? I guess the main reason is because I'm shy and so my whole life I have kept all my thoughts, ideas, and feeling inside. I have only rarely spoken to my family of these things. So trying to get them out, let alone in writing, is really difficult for me.
As I said it's hard to get out, especially in writing. I have never been a good writer, I just can't write fast enough for my thoughts and than I loose what I was going to say. I have a hard enough time saying it. Than there is the fact that you can't have spoken voice tone in writing, and I have a hard time giving voice to my writing so it just sounds, blah to anyone else.

*MVHS vs. OHS*

VS.
Why is it that for the past few years the "Battle for the Paddle" has seem to be such an unfair meet for Mountain View? Orem seems to take the Paddle so easily and it is really ticking us Bruins off. So I sat down and thought about the reasons as to why Orem beats us so brutally. the conclustions i came up with is that they have Dan as a coach. Our coach Missy is great, really hard and pushes us a lot, so it's not that Dan is a better cach than Missy but it's that he has been there forever. Lattely Mountain View has had a different cach each year, we just couldn't seem to find a steady caoch. So Dan has years of experience with the Orem team, he knows stratagies and how to deal with high schoolers. But now we have a chance because Missy is going to stick around for a while.
Another reason as to why Orem has beaten use so hard for the past few years is due to a simple fact, their bigger. They have way more swimmers than we do and the hurts us even more than we can take. I don't know if the swim team is more public there, or more advertised and Orem than it is a Mountain View. But boy they sure do have a lot more swimmers than us. So when they have twice as many swimmers in each event they are sure to place and get more points.
