~Rejection~

The fear of rejection prevents many of us from doing what we really want to do, such as asking someone to a dance. Why is it that it that humans are more willing to give up what they really want, or a fun time than to face an obstacle if there is a chance that they may be rejected? If one has a chance to have such a fun time but they may be rejected by another they don't care how much fun of a time they may have because they are afraid. Rejection is probably the number one fear of every human, that is why we strive so hard to know all we can so we won't be wrong or rejected. Also if one is rejected they feel like they have no self worth and their self esteem plummets beyond the deepest hole. There is a way to get over this, just pluck up the courage and ask the guy to the dance. The worst that he can do is say no. In that case forget about them, they aren't worth your time any way, cause if they say no then they are just plain old rude. So really there is no reason why someone should be afraid of rejection, because it is so inlogical. You are still the same great person, so why should it matter?

~UEA~

My UEA weekend was a blast, but very busy. The major thing was that I went to St. George with some the girls; my mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and two of my mom's friends. We had a blast, we went to Tuacan to see "Cats" and we just hung out and played around for Thursday and Friday. The drive home was the worst part but still fun and eventful. It seems like on every fun trip the road seems to lengthen for the drive home, as my sister says,"Dad's been watering the road again." Meaning that the road grew.
Then came the busy and boring part of my weekend. Saturday is usually a fun and lazy day, well not for me this Saturday. We had family picture in the morning and then at 1 o'clock I had to go to work until 8. Let me tell you watching people swim for 6 hours and then having to clean is no picnic or any fun. But other than the drive home, which wasn't terrible but yes long, and having to work my weekend was fabulous and a ton of fun.

~Cats~

The main reason we girls went to St. George over UEA was to go to the Tuacan theater. This is were they have plays that are shown outside with a beautiful, natural red rock scenery behind the stage. We went to see the musical "Cats". It was so fabulously, wonderfully, fantastic. The music was wonderful with a huge variety of types and styles of music. Not only are you sure to find a piece of music that is your style but you are also sure to fall in love with every song. The voices of the actors would draw you in so quickly. They all had such wonderful voices, and with the dancing that they did all that was there loved the play so much at the end. My sister thought it was going to be boring and stupid but after words she kept saying how good it was. The dancing in it was so unique and difficult looking. There was gymnastics and ballet combined with more fitting to the music dance moves. Than to make it all the better we had premo seats, right in the middle of a row that was not so close you that you had to crane your head up to see, but not so far a away you couldn't see the faces, but just right. With all of these things combined the play turned out to be just so spectacular.
Then to make it even better than it would already have been one of the actors in the play was from my ward. I know him pretty well, he is a year younger but looks like he could be eight, but he was in my trek family and his mom was, until just about a month ago, my Young Women president. She got us a back stage tour before the show and it was really cool to see what all goes on in making these plays. All toghether and all the little odds and ends this play was wonderful and it's to bad that it's over. But I'm glad I saw it, and it made the play even better by knowing some one in the play.

~Gapes Glorious Grapes~

Grape juice is possibly the best and most famous of all the juices in the world. But when it comes to making the grape juice that is when it gets hard. We have grape vine on our back fence, and they have been there from since I can remember. About every other year ,or every year depending on haw much grape juice we have down stairs in storage, we make grape juice. First there is the picking of the grapes. This part is long and tedious, not really it takes about 30 min for one 5 gallon bucket of grapes. It just seems long when your alone or not thinking of anything but grapes; but it can be very fun out there if you got a good song to sing or someone to talk to. Than you have to destemify the grapes and put them in the juicer. This is quick and not bad, again as long as you have music or someone to talk to. Than comes the worst part of it all, waiting.
You have to wait for the grapes to be pressured into juice. This takes forever hours to get just 9 or so pints of juice. Than to get it into the jars you have to hold the jar under the spout with tongs because the juice is so hot it will burn you, than you have to speeze the stopper at the same time to let the juice out. This is really hard to both squeeze and hold the bottle. The stopper is hard to push open and the bottle gets heavy. It's really anoying to because you cann't just keep going you have to stop every few bottles because there isn't anymore juice pressed. it's just really annoying after the destemifying part. But all the work and slaving is worth the glorious yummy grape juice, that tastes better because it's homemade and you worked for it.

.....Hot Chocolate at Deny's.....

Last Friday night Aubree, Corinne, Kristen, and me went to Deny's at 10:30 at night. Boy was it fun. But why was it so much funner to go there than just drinking hot chocolate at home? Well there are other people at Deny's and you don't have to clean up or make the hot chocolate. Why is it funner to have other people there? Well I can tell you why we thought it was fun that there were others around. Not talking to, or knowing anyone around is the funnest part. Than you can sit and look around and analyze the people around you. We analyzed people but our sythesis wasn't so set. After analyzing we made up stories to how that person is. Another reason why having others around and not knowing any but who is in your group is that you can be so crazy and weird and not feel embarrassed, because you don't know any of them and will most likely never see them again. Why it's more fun at night than in the middle of the day to do this is because hot chocolate is cozier at night and because at night the brain is more lax and goes insane in the right environment. That is why hot chocolate at Deny's is so much fun.
